Don't Overpay for Your Digital Advertising
There are a ton of people and companies out there who offer online advertising options in Sioux Falls. The thing you need to know is that there's usually a "middle man" with these options. And you know what that means. You pay more. Or the fees they charge you are hidden and you think most of your budget is going to digital advertising, when it's probably a lot less than you think.
And the ad agencies who show you ungodly expensive social media or digital advertising plan... they should be drug outside and kicked. Sorry to be blunt, but I've seen small to medium-sized businesses waste A LOT of money by spending way more of their budget than they should on Digital Marketing. But it's all they know... so of course they're going to tell you to put all of your budget into digital advertising.
When you don't have an unlimited budget to work with... then you should be pickier on who you hire and how much you're spending. Yes, there's some truth to bigger budget means bigger results... but I don't care how big of a company you are, you can't afford to waste advertising dollars.
I have a client who does a lot of Radio and TV with me, but I also handle their billboards, their website, Social Media, Google Search Ads, and any graphics that are needed. But I'm not charging commissions in the range of 20 to 40% like others do (and those fees are usually hidden). Agencies make their money by creating things for you. Usually, they're the most "creative" at figuring out new ways to bill you for something. But the sad thing is... there's usually not much for a strong "strategy" behind all of it to make people actually want to do business with YOU instead of one of your competitors. I digress...
Let me know if you'd like to discuss your digital advertising options. I'll explain to you what can work, what is challenging, and what usually doesn't work... and why.
Digital advertising is usually used for immediate results. It's for those in the market for what you offer RIGHT NOW. And the percentage of people who need what you sell at this moment is usually pretty small. 1 to 10% depending on your business category (unless you're a grocery store, gas station, etc.). If you sell mattresses, HVAC units, cars, or something with a longer buying cycle, then you should be only putting about 25% of your budget into "buy right now" types of advertising. The rest should be brand-building. And that's not done with digital advertising very effectively.
DIGITAL ADVERTISING isn't the marketing magic that you think it might be. It has its purpose, but not as heavily as you think it might... and it's usually not as important as others tell you it is.
Just because you put some ads online with your logo... doesn't mean people are seeing them. And they for sure aren't REMEMBERING them very much. I'm gonna shoot you straight with all of it. Think about how often you've scrolled by digital ads without noticing anything about them. I just want you to think it through with me. What's the goal? Is digital advertising going to be the best bang for your buck? What's the strategy? How will you get people's attention with your ads? How will you make them think differently about your business?
Of course, you need a good place to send people once they decide to click on your digital ad. That's where a good website comes in (or a good landing page). You want your website to give visitors more confidence in choosing you. And it needs to be easy to navigate, help them find the answers they're looking for, and be easy on the eyes. Let me know if we need to work on a new website for you... or maybe just a separate Landing Page to send the "clickers" of your online ads.
I'm here to make online / display advertising easy for you if that's what you and I feel would be a good marketing route to take. And you'll get monthly reports on the performance of your digital ad campaign. And if it's not all that you imagined, or aren't getting the best results, then, you don't have to keep doing it. It's not always right for everyone... but I'll make sure we do the right things to give it the best chance at boosting your flow of new customers, complement your branding advertising, and adding to your revenues.
Whatever form of local advertising you're considering, let's have a chat about all of it. At the very least, you might as well get a free second opinion on your overall marketing situation. Let me know if you'd like to get together and discuss.
